Strength From Zion To Rule
Psalm 110:2 NKJV
2. The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
This is a Psalm of David announcing the reign of the Messiah.
Notice how David progresses with this announcement of Messiah’s reign.
- The Lord will send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.
- You will rule in the midst of Your enemies
Child of God:
- The context of this verse is Jesus’s divinely ordained reign of power and authority to subdue all principalities.
- The application for you, the baptized born again believer, is that you have the power and authority, (Acts 1:8), to minister freely by the indwelling Holy Spirit.
- Walk in confidence, (not arrogance), that you are doing what God has ordained you to do.
- Walk in confidence that no weapon formed against you will be able to stop what God has ordained you to do, (Isaiah 54:17).
- Walk in confidence that the gates of hell will not prevail against God's Church.
Meditate on the liberty you have to walk in your calling.
Thank God for your strength to rule from Zion.
